Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initiation. When Catholics are baptized, they start a new life with Jesus Christ. Catholics are usually baptized at a young age, but not always.
What is the Form?
Form: "I Baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Matter: Water
Who is the Minister in Baptism?
Minister: Usually a priest or deacon, can be anyone, even an unbaptized person if someone is near death.
What is the Rite of Baptism?
Baptism Removes Original and Actual sin. In Baptism, we gain a New Birth. We also become members of the mystical body of Christ. Baptism is the doorway into the Church and so, it leaves a permanent mark on our souls.
